Urinary tract infection is a microbial infection that may affects any part of the urinary tract. The urinary tract includes kidney, bladder, uterus and urethra. It is more prone to women than to men. It may be cause due to sexual intercourse, menopause, pregnancy, holding urine for too long etc. some of its symptoms are burning sensation while urinating, strong odour, traces of blood in urine, minimal passes of urine, urges to urinate frequently etc.Here are some of the Ayurvedic treatment for Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) that can treat urinary tract infection effectively and without side effects.

Cranberry juice:

Cranberry juice is the best solution for UTI. It unable the bacteria to breed in the urinary tract. Cranberry juice can be taken directly or mixed with other juice. It is the best ayurvedic treatment for UTI without any side effects.


Coriander is one of the effective ayurvedic treatments for UTI. Three table spoon of coriander should be added in 3 glasses of water and soak it for overnight. Strain it in the morning and drink this decoction for thrice a day.

Baking soda:

Baking soda help neutralize the acid in your urine. So a half table spoon of baking soda should be added in a glass of water and drink it. It also help you to pass urine easily and with less pain.


Pineapples are rich in enzymes bromelain which is effective for treating UTI. It can be taken as fruit salads or drink its juice to cure UTI related problem.


Vinegar too can help cure UTI since it alkalize the area of the bladder and the urinary tract which unable the bacteria to breed in. two table spoon of vinegar should be added in a glass of warm water and drink it.

Blue brinjal leave:

Blue brinjal leave decoction is one of the best remedies for urinary tract infection. It should be strained and cool down and drink twice daily to cure urinary tract infection.
