The VIVO IPL 2016 – The Grand Opening Ceremony


Are you excited to watch IPL 9? Yes, why not everybody is excited to watch the IPL. This season is going to be more interesting as compare to previous seasons. IPL is the most popular T20 cricket event which is revived as the toughest and most challenging T20 tournament throughout the world nowadays.

IPL fans who wait for the new season of Indian Premier League 9 for a long time, is now going to start. The grand opening ceremony of IPL 9 would be conducted on 8th April in Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium. The first match of this new season is set to play between defending champions Mumbai Indians and new IPL team rising Pune Supergiant in 9th April, 2016.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) added more glamour in Mumbai on Friday evening. The Bollywood celebrities Ranveer Singh, Jacquline Fernandes, Katrina Kaif, Yo Yo Honey Singh and American singer Chris Brown performed at the grand ceremony. It was for the first time Chris Brown to visit India. The music group “Major Lazer”(established by Switch and Diplo) has also set the stage on fire and entertained the Mumbai audience.


Dwayne Bravo and Ankit Tiwari sing a song, “Champion” and entertains the Crowd. However the star of the show was West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, which took the world by storm. Moreover, there would be 200 dancers, folk artists and percussionists, mass casts performers add more entertainment to the inaugural ceremony of IPL 9.
Also, the Captions of the eight teams set the ball rolling with IPL trophy. Chairman of the IPL, Rajeev Shukla, who addressed the gathering, said the BCCI was committed to the welfare of the farmers in drought-hit Maharashtra and that they will do whatever is suggested to them.


The viewers too would get a chance to air their views on decisions referred to the third umpire, Rajeev Shukla said. This will increase the involvement of the viewers.
